November CPCU Sioux Empire Chapter meeting

Thanks to all those that attended the 2016 Sioux Empire Conferment for the new designees.  A special “Thank You” to Julie Graff and Mike Happe for making the trip to The Ram in Brookings, SD.  As mentioned at the conferment, Mike will be passing the governor reins onto Julie for the 2017 term.  We will certainly miss Mike, but look forward to working with Julie in the future. 

We’re still looking for volunteers to fill the CPCU board (director positions), so please let me know if you are interested in volunteering.

I’ve attached information in regards to the continuing education requirement. It is something new for the CPCU designation that began in July of 2016, but will help in adding more value to the designation.  https://www.theinstitutes.org/guide/reporting-continuing-education-cpcus

Due to the 2^nd Tuesday of the month falling on election day; and of course we want to encourage everyone to vote, so rather than holding the meeting that evening, it’s been moved to Thursday November 17^th.
